Want to burn fat, get your heart rate up and improve your stamina/endurance and all-round fitness? Get yourself a good speed rope and learn the ancient (?) art of jump rope/skipping.
A decent speed rope will only cost you $5-$10 from any sports store and it’s extremely portable – you can carry it with you and do it anywhere during your workouts. A 5-10 minute skipping session is a great high intensity cardio exercise – and once you have practised a bit, you’ll be skipping like a pro boxer!
You may eventually transition from a normal speed rope, to a wire style rope such as this one:
Then, you’ll be going supersonic… Ok, get skipping! 🙂
